Musicians Corner with guest Joost Buis, an improvising musician who plays the trombone as well as the lap steel guitar. He is also a composer and arranger. Since 1984, he is part of the Amsterdam jazz- and music scene, performing with many groups and for many projects, often involving theatre, dance, literature, opera, punk rock, new music, singer-songwriters, the circus and world music (Ethiopian and Indian musicians). He has led many of his own groups, such as Buisband and Astronotes. From 1983 to 1988 he studies the trombone and music theory at the conservatory of Arnhem, and in 2000 he studied under master trombonist Roswell Rudd.
