‘A journey through Venice’
Today, we start the 9th season of ‘Thou Singest ye Carol’ with a recital from American mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato in Wigmore Hall in London, which she gave together with English pianist Julius Drake. Joyce DiDonato is mostly known from the big opera stages, but is now performing a programme of songs, titled ‘A journey through Venice’, featuring songs from Michael Head, Fauré, Hahn and Rossini.
