Hollandia1. The 1980.
The Concertzender is celebrating its 40th anniversary. Over the years, this radio station has played a key role in promoting contemporary Dutch music. To mark the occasion, we will air three special themed broadcasts that spotlight the best of CZ Hollandia—showcasing the finest selections from the catalog of modern Dutch music. These broadcasts will feature not only top national artists but also lesser-known modern music from the Netherlands that deserves to be revisited. Anything from absolute classics to forgotten masterpieces. In this episode of Theme, the focus is on the 1980s, a time when the Concertzender had just launched and Dutch composers like Louis Andriessen, Otto Ketting, Tristan Keuris, Hans Kox, Cornelis de Bondt, and Klaas de Vries were making waves with their bold and innovative compositions.
