The Hundred and fity-sixth two-weekly Contemporary Music Night with tonight a re-broadcast of the ‘minimal’ classic work from the 20th century: The five hour Well-Tuned Piano of La Monte Young.
In 1964 the American Composer La Monte Young started to work on his never ending work for a well tuned Bösendorfer grand piano.
In 1981 La Monte Young made the only ‘legal’ recording of this piece with the complete name:
