On 9 June 2018 we recorded a concert at the Dutch Gregorian Festival in ’s-Hertogenbosch with polyphonic music based on early unison Gregorian.
Many composers from the 19th and 20th century were inspired by the Gregorian. Collegium Vocale Eindhoven, conducted by Ruud Huijbregts, composed a programme with modern music and repertoire from the Romantic period last year. Finally sounded the completely new composition of Gerard Beljon, which had its premiere there and connected to the theme of the festival with the title Planctus cygni: The complaint of the Swan.
Soon the next edition of this festival will start, also in Den Bosch, from 14 till 16 June 2019. For more information: gregoriaansfestival.nl
