Programme maker Robert Kroos will take you to Hokkaido, the most northern ‘wild west’ of Japan.
Kroos spend 5 weeks the last summer in Hokkaido.
Armed with recording equipment, Robert Kroos took advantage of this special opportunity to make field recordings. The sounds he caught go from the cacophony of noise in pachinko amusement arcades to the traditional singing of the Ainu to the silent sounds of nature. One hour, you can travel through the sound world of Hokkaido.
