La France exotique.
This year, there are 3 CDs released of French artists, which all have something exotic about them. Like that of the group Danguba, with an explicit preference for music from the Balkan.
And those of the four eccentric women from Marseille, who sing in their inarticulate local language d’oc, and by their own account have bad hair as well, La mal coiffée.
And then there is the virtuoso accordionist René Lacaille, who returned after his French adventure in jazz to his roots in La Réunion. In this Metamorfoses, a choise of this fun and exciting music, French and not French.
