Master pianist Geoffrey Madge plays special and legendary recordings in various genres, from the beginning of the last century.
Episode 255 is the second part in a series dedicated to influential recordings of the Italian pianist Sergio Fiorentino.
Sergio Fiorentino lived from 1907 until 1982 and he is regarded as one of the most important Italian pianists. Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli called him “The only other pianist”.
During a concert tour in South-America in 1954, he only just survived a plane crash. There were severe consequences and he was unable to perform for a long time. But luckily he made a complete recovery.
