Today we are talking about gentrification by means of some singles and LPs from the 1970s and 80s. A lot of the problems that now occur when living in a large city, were also an issue back then, as we can tell from the lyrics. Due to the sharing-economy, some extra problems have been added since. What remains are a few companies that rake in the money, and the less well-off inhabitants who end up with all the misery. With i.a.
