In Documento we will start with the series of Jubilarians of 2024. First up is Guillaume Dufay, who passed away 550 years ago.

Today’s entire program will be dedicated to jubilarians of this year, 2024. First up is Guillaume Dufay (1400-1474). He passed away five hundred and fifty years ago and stood at the forefront of what would later be known as the Franco-Flemish school, succeeding Gregorian music.
The Franco-Flemish School is a style of polyphonic vocal music from the 14th to the 16th century. Guillaume Dufay was among the first generation of the Franco-Flemish School, along with composers such as Gilles Binchois and Antoine Busnois. The main focus of this episode is Dufay’s Mass ‘Se la face ay pale’.
