Episode 1366. Before continuing the chronological approach to the cantatas in Bach ad infinitum, we would like to dedicate this Monday-episode to our former colleague Joop van Zijl. He recently turned 90, and presented the first few hundred episodes of Bach ad infinitum.
In this first episode of the week, we will hear, among others, the joyful Bach cantata “Unser Mund sei voll Lachens” BWV 110, ‘Summertime’ by George Gershwin (one of Joop’s favourites), a ragtime on piano, and we will conclude with Bach on accordion by Harry Mooten (Joop’s former News colleague).
We will also hear Joop’s own voice briefly.
