Episode 1270. In this new Bachweek, we continue our exploration of the cantatas in chronological order. We’ve now reached the cantatas Bach composed in the late summer and autumn of 1724. Kicking off this segment is the cantata “Liebster Gott, wenn werd ich sterben” BWV 8, which Bach wrote for the 16th Sunday after Trinity on 24 September 1724.
