A whole hour dedicated to Borodin
A whole hour dedicated to chamber music by Alexander Borodin. He is mostly renowned for his beautiful symphonies and his impressive opera Prince Igor. But Borodin also composed beautiful chamber music, where his Russian soul is captured in notes, along with his love for his own Katja. His muse, who supposedly whispered the melodies for his piano quintet during a romantic trip in Italy. She also served as the inspiration for his second string quartet. By then, they had been married for 20 years. Apart from being a composer, Borodin also worked as a chemist. He was happily married, something that cannot be said of his fellow composers Rimsky-Korsakov and Mussorgsky.
