Antrianna Moutoula (Athens, 1994) is a language-based artist, continuously puzzled by how to perform the real. Recurring themes in her work are the performativity of intimate relationships and the ordinary events of everyday life.
Her current research centres around nonstop languaging, a solo, autotheoretical practice in which she performs streams of consciousness by tracing her thoughts through language simultaneously in spoken and written form. Nonstop languaging emerged from her need to articulate the present. By engaging with this practice in different contexts, she craves to contribute to a renegotiation of the confinements, norms, and protocols of knowledge production within artistic academic discourse.
“A continuous present you know it no, is a continuous present” is the title of the biweekly show that Antrianna hosts at radio WORM. Through her radio performances she seeks ephemeral encounters with necessary others. In the articulation of that present, she finds possibilities for carrying the self and (forming/digesting) theory. Streams made of speculations, instant patterns, lyrics, tricks-to-trick-me, readymade thoughts, the feminine voice. This new work springs from the existing title and unfolds into an unedited inquiry in and through language.
